Why We Chose This Film
In Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut, Booksmart tells the story about Amy & Molly, who had been in too deep in their academic overachieving life, while missing out on special moments Both decide to cram all of their missed out parties in one night to try & make up for lost time.
Booksmart excels at telling a coming of age story that feels relatable while at the same time telling an ironically comical journey of discovery. The movie is about acceptance and finding meaning through friendship on the small, but important things in life.
